About Dr. Anna Paxinos
Thank you for looking me up and taking the time to read my biography.
Welcome

I’m Dr Anna K Paxinos, and I have been practising dentistry in Melbourne since 1989. I graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Dental Science in 1988 and have been a longstanding professional member of the Australian Dental Association for 38 years. Ongoing education is central to my practice philosophy, and I regularly attend advanced courses and conferences to ensure my patients benefit from contemporary, evidence based care delivered with precision and skill.

My career has spanned both public and private dentistry. In 1997, I established my own practice in Kew, where I spent nearly three decades building strong professional relationships and providing comprehensive, high quality care to generations of patients. After almost 30 years in Kew, I embraced the opportunity for renewal and growth, and I am delighted to continue my work in a new environment.

With this vision, I founded Richmond Hill Dental in the heart of vibrant Richmond. The building itself has a proud dental history, purpose built as a dental surgery in 1955. It is a privilege to continue that legacy within a thoughtfully designed, patient centred space. For convenience, the clinic offers eight dedicated on site parking spaces (entry via Waverley Street from Swan Street), as well as two hour street parking in Clifton Street.

My focus remains unwavering: dedicated to excellence , meticulous attention to detail, and long term patient relationships built on trust. I have a particular passion for minimally invasive, high-quality restorative dentistry, often referred to as biomimetic dentistry, where treatments are carefully tailored to preserve natural tooth structure while restoring strength, function and aesthetics. Every patient receives considered, individualised care. Your oral health is a responsibility I accept with gratitude and professionalism.

Beyond the Clinic

Outside of dentistry, I value an active and connected life. I enjoy live music, running with friends several times a week, strength training, indoor cycling and exploring the Richmond neighbourhood. I have recently joined the local gym and am attempting on demand Pilates with varying degrees of success.

My heritage is from Ithaka, a beautiful island in the Ionian Sea in Greece, where I try to spend time each European summer. I cherish my family and friends, and I am fortunate to have seven children, a grandchild and a loving partner. And for those who follow football , I proudly barrack for the mighty Blues.

I look forward to welcoming you to the new space and to continuing or beginning your dental journey with me.
